Good experience in Japanese life style Tatami, Hot Spring and excellent food 9 This hotel is not right in the middle of Hakone-Yumoto, but is very easy to access through buses. Visitor can take bus at bus stop 'T' or 'H' to get to bus stop close to hotel. Another option is to take shutter bus (at bus stop 'C'), which will stop right infront of hotel. You can start your jurney after drop the luggage and walk to Tonosawa train station, get the map from hotel staff, this station is just 5 minutes walkfrom hotel. This hotel with Japanese old style living with tatami, no special bedroom, you need to lay your own bed. Room with private hot spring is excellent, you can enjoy the hot spring anytime you like, good experience. Must try the dinner at the hotel, is a bit costly, but very good food.

Staffs are very helpful and provide information to ease our holiday. The in house onsen is a good experience especially for first timer. Hotel has a private bath for family is an added point. Food is great and in fact the portion is too much and we can't finish. We will definately go back again.

The staff are very helpful and speak English well. I particularly like the atmosphere of their Japanese style room. The complimentary snacks are delicious, too. A very pleasant stay.

It's also situated right by the road which makes it convenient as the bus stop is nearby but the minus point being the noise from traffic can be heard through the night if your room is at the front. I'd recommend booking the dinner, it was very good and the breakfast equally enjoyable. Service also was excellent. The staff, though clearly busy, were helpful, courteous and always smiling. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Get a map at the tourist info office when you arrive at hakone yamoto. The staff there are also very helpful and knowledgable.
