The grand position of this hotel on the beach and it's pool and the overall layout must be a lesson to most hospitality architects. Difficult to fault other than a few useless steps.

The room was modern and refreshing .the views to the sea where spectacular 9,7 After reading some of the reviews we where a bit apprehensive......Dont even go there this was a 5 star hotel in asia .the location was ideal .The hotel was at the top of the hill side and decended into Paradise .!!(Yes there was a lot of steps and we did look for a lift ,no there isnt one .)The service was prompt and everyone was there to make sure this was YOUR special holiday . The quality of restaurant food was extremely good ,delicious. the beach and the pool where great ,rolling waves good enough to buggy board .Private enough to feel like it was YOUR own beach. Would go back and highly recommend .

Elegant, peaceful, exquisitely beautiful, clean Privacy, empty & clean beach, stunning breakfast, staff delightful, water sports equipment included 9,3 Our 2nd time here, pre and post renovations. They've maintained the elegant, peaceful feeling, and many of the staff are the same. the beach is the main feature - perfectly clean, crystal blue water, snorkelling off the beach, and a bit of surf for those wanting that. the new gym is stunningly good, overlooking the beach, and very well equipped - an excellent addition. Staff are uniformly delightful and a credit to the whole team. We'd go back in a heartbeat. This is about peace, privacy, and dropping off the face of the earth in style. Restaurant Tip: There are places to eat outside the Surin - a few on the main road, but also an easy walk to Surin beach where there is a huge choice of beachfront bars & restaurants. Turn right outside Surin, then take the path to the beach which is accessed next to a 'taxi stand'. the path is lit with oversized lanterns. Pla was good for seafood and you can pre-book a table right on the sand/ocean.
